WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Hydrascale is an inline water fixture that electrolytically changes the aggressive state of hard water. As water with its’ dissolved hardness minerals passes over the HYDRASCALE coil, a small electromotive force is developed. When under the influence of this EMF, dissolved hardness minerals change their chemical makeup: and become new compounds that do not form hard scale. The altered state of the minerals is simply not conducive to the build-up of hard scale. Damaging minerals will no longer stick together or adhere to metal and plastic surfaces.
Hydrascale was in research and developement in the United Kingdom from 1989 to 1993. Antson University particpated in the development by providing extensive testing and analysis. In May 1993 the new product was awarded the Water Bylaws Scheme certificate in the UK.
For over ten years now European homeowners, businesses and industrial locations have saved money by reducing scale using Hydrascale. Scale cost money. Over time scale destroys water fixtures, pool finishes and equipment, plumbing and any other water system device.
In 1997 Hydrascale was introduced to the USA market for market testing. Installations included schools, municipalities, state facilities, hospitals, hotels/motels, ranches, and anaerobic septic systems, grocery stores, Disneyland, Wal-Mart, restaurants, swimming pools and thousands of residences. Hydrascale has provided outstanding success in a wide variety of water conditions.
In 2001 Texas A & M researched the Hydrascale product and suggested naming it Scale Away (name remains Hydrascale). The following is an excerpt from that study. This new innovative product breaks down existing scale build-up and prevents further scale deposits. This product does not use chemicals and does not require electrical power or magnetic force, as do some of the more common (and outdated) alternatives. Scale Away electrolytically changes the aggressive state of hard water. As water with dissovled hardness minerals passes over the coil, a small electric charge is given off. The dissolved minerals, when electrically charged, change their ionic state and negatively charged ions become positively charged ions. The altered state of the particles prevents the scale damaging minerals from sticking together and adhering to the plastic and metal surfaces. Scale Away (name remains Hydrascale) will revolutionize the way these industries treat their water, thus lowering maintenance costs and the possibility of scale damage toward their equipment.
